I don't think I'm mistaken about the color. I dropped it off there on Friday before I thought to dip a rag in the reservoir bottle. I'm still pretty sure it was green. My only fear now is that they change the water pump and whatever green stuff was leaking is still leaking.

I have heard bad things about the longevity of the Napa and other pumps. Although not too excited about getting only 58k out of mine, I think I'll stick with OEM. The other thing that bothers me about the dealer is that they want $600 parts and labor for this. I have seen the pump list at $300 at online Mopar parts vendors. There will be more coolant to top it off (not sure how much will drain out or not). So, figure $100 max for that. That leaves labor. Between the diagostic fee and the labor to install, they're getting about $200. I guess it doesn't sound that bad after breaking it all down. I realize it's cheaper to buy the pump at a Cummins dealer, but I don't know of any. I should probably research that for the future.

As for the warranty, I just went out of the 7 year warranty two months ago. I mentioned it to the dealer He gave me the Chrysler 800 number to plead my case. He didn't appear to be too helpful other than that.

I gotta find a good diesel mechanic in Simi Valley, CA. Anyone know of any?
