Update-changed oil at 1K. It was clean as a whistle but had a vise grip, a large hammer and what looked like a fair amount of "bling bling" all undoubtedly from a negligent engine assembly technician. Soryy-just sick humor. Anyway I put an Edge EZ on the truck. It was so simple even I could do it. A mounting location was hard to find cause I wanted to hide it. I set it only on 40 (lowest) until I get more miles on it. I can feel a slight increase in power but I will need a lot more so keep the ideas comming please. This race will be help at The Rock in Rockingham NC at an even my club puts on called Mopars at The Rock. I will be adding a class for the diesel Rams so come one come all.

 

No thanks. I hate to see good equipment abused, whether it's a Slant-6, a Hemi, a Cummins or a Duramax. Never meant to offend.

 

You ought to try it on the full power setting once first before you get anything else, just so you know what the difference is in power. Get a good intake, and exhaust, and make sure to get GAUGES if you dont have any!! Good luck, im interested in the results.

Guages are a true priority. I won't be doing any towing anytime soon but before doing so I iwll get the exhaust temp and boost. Then on to intake & exhaust. I have a Jason bed cap being put on tomorrow for looks & practicality. The Edge came-w-a .020 elbow for the turbo and is supposed to allow 20lbs boost but the documentation says the Edge will work equally well-w/o- the elbow. Go figure?

 

It dosent matter what you have as long as thats what u want to do with it. Who says you cant drag race a 7000lbs diesel truck? I drag raced mine in Indiana at scheids diesel extravaganza, and had a blast. Keep us updated .

I suppose it is not for everyone but once you go down the track all out it is hard to not want to go again and again. I had an Omni GLHS-w-310hp that weighed about 2400 lbs. It was a rocket and was a handfull to get down the track but it got me hooked on it. I would not drag my new Ram if I didn't think it would go fast.
