gauge readings

what should the temp be on a auto tranny,normally,and what should my egts be normally,and when pulling?thanx

From: In Oroville, Ca., same house for past 46 yrs!
RULE OF THUMB Says your tranny fluid temp shouldn't get higher than your water temp.
EGT's are a function of airflow with the available fuel. More fuel-less boost, more heat. They vary quite a bit.
Personally, gross trailer and crap in it at 12K# pulling 6% for miles on tuner setting 4 gives me 215 deg water, 200 deg trans oil, 1100-1175 pyro temps
