G56 problems
Posted this on the 07 and up thread also, need to know if anyone else is having these problems with their G56. mine hangs in reverse and you have to force it out sometimes with the clutch engaged, has a whine like it has over a100k on it, shifts like crap thru the gears mainly 1st thru 4th seems to have a slight synchro problems. problem started at 6k has 46k on it now. dc's star wants to rebuild it wont replace unless 70% is damaged i'm telling them no want a new one didnt buy a rebuilt truck fixin to get a lawer over this and then they can buy the truck instead of replacing the tranny, sorry more i think about ti madder i get dealer is trying their best but its DC who's the problem any reports would be appreciated

Personally, I wouldn't have any issue with them putting in a rebuilt tranny - its their nickel, not yours. Its a working truck, get the tranny repaired and back on the road.
You never know, when they open and inspect it, you might get your new tranny anyways.

If they rebuild it, they will be replacing all the worn/damaged parts with new. If they give you a new one, it may fail the same way in a few miles. I would think that getting it rebuilt would be better than waiting until you have no warranty left, then you get nothing.

IMHO, if it's free under warranty, take it! It'll be on record and warranteed again from the rebuild mileage/date. It's hard enough to get them to warranty anything. Here, they're handing it to you on a silver platter.
