Question G56 Oil

Is there anything better to put in the G56 manual than ATF?

I've used Amsoil Synthetic ATF about 10k miles now.
Shifts great no problems.

I have always heard that ATF is too abrasive. I just had the trans serviced and they used Amsoil synthetic. Its Amsoil it has to be better. I was just wondering if there was something else.

Factory fill is ATF+4 which is now advertised as synthetic. I changed mine at 40K and it was fine when I got rid of it at 69K. Had a SB clutch.

Ditto. Just got to save up for an SBC 3250 DD.

I changed mine out to Amsoil Synthetic ATF at 15K, shifted like a new truck afterwords. I sent in an oil sample just before 30K, they tell me it's still like new oil, no need to change it right now. So, I'm going to sample it at 40K and see what they say.
