G56 clutch problums

Well after 30,000 miles looks like my first problum is going to be the clutch.
What do you think is wrong, when I get on it hard and push in the clutch sometimes the clutch is twice as hard to push in. I am kinda thinking throw out bearing, but their is no noise. clutch doesn't slip unless I want it to
I want a DD southbend clutch where is a good place to get one??
And here I was going to go to a sled pull tonight

Mine does the same thing. Has been like that for about the last 20,000 miles!

How many miles on the truck? I notice that when it pushes hard that it doesn't release as good as it should.
I really want to enter tonight but it is not worth the clutch flying apart and wrecking something else.

"Scratchy" clutch feel

Mine's been doing a weird thing lately. When I initially push in the clutch it feels silky smooth. After a few engagements, however,it feels like something's rubbing against bare metal. Clutch engagement is smooth,it just seems like the mechanism is rubbing or something. This is on the downstroke only.

Someone here must have taken their truck to the dealer to get it fixed.

I think you can get one from Larry here at the DTR store. If not call Peter at southbend.

How do you test if the slave cylinder is bad??

What is so special about the sprung hub double disc from South Bend??

On a side note I saw a 2007 6.0 powerstroke win the sled pull tonight

I dont see why not. Wait a minute though peter said the Hyd. upgrade is not to make the clutch easier but it actually changes the way the clutch engages. Something about the stock Hyd. would not even disengage the DD I think the lenght is different. Call him andlet us know????

I called and talked to peter at South Bend about the hyd upgrade while using the stock g56 clutch and he said it will work. At least if a guy is going to trouble shoot you can put on a quality upgraded part!!
I decided to order the hyd upgrade and the 3600 sprung Hub DD
