My 04.5 lately seems to be "lagging" when towing. LP was replaced 2-3 weeks ago(OEM style) FCA as well. Month ago it was real doggy, I attributed that to LP weak or the FCA. It seemed to run fine for a week or so, now it runs higher then normal EGT and boost while towing. Normal was 1000-1050/15# boost @ 60MPH,,,now it"ll run 1200 easy and around 17-19# of boost. It's not "making oil", doesnt smell of fuel in oil, isn't smoking excessive, if anything, the smoke isn't what I think it should be with the Edge turned on. Only tow with it on level 1. Have played with diff. settings for low boost fueling and doesn't seem to make any difference. Truck has 377k mi onit, air aide filter(clean) Edge w/ attitude, str8 pipe, everything else is stock, nothing else touched other then noted here. Also the mileage has dropped off as well. Engine temps are normal, no codes. Any ideas what I can look @ next? Thanks in advance.
Buddy of mine just had the same issue going on. Truck sounded fine, no smoke, new CP3 and FCA, new fuel filter, air filter, not making oil, but mileage dropped and egt's were just a tad higher than normal. He has somewhere around 225k on the clock. 2 injectors were headen out. Replaced only two (not sure why he didn't do them all) and all is well. Lower EGT's, better mileage, etc.. not sure if this is ur prob or not.
I'm starting to seriously think that may be my issue here. Guess I can't beller to much for getting 377k on orgional injectors, esp with what I haul daily. Looks like I need 2 find time and get this truck 2 dealer and have them check it with ODB,,,OWWWWW Can anyone tell me if I need 2 replace the whole injector or just the nozzles?

put the DBR on today, had 2 inj. drop below 95% flow after warming up, another @95% flow. Looks like a set of inj. are in need. Your friend probably only changed what was needed since they are almost $600 @ for rebilts from Dodge

Don't waste your money on only ding 2 or 3. Do them all, It will cost you the same amount to replace the ohters in a couple of months. Go in there only once and get er done right. Yo may want to even put in 50 or 60 hp injectors while you are at it. Also if yo replace all 6 then they will be a matched set.
Planning on doing all 6, but think I will stay with stockers, as Im on the road and IF 1 fails on the road I will be able to find a stocker vs. a 50HP. Anyone have a good palce to buy them? Best price I've found is around $1900 for new.
6 new injs. init now. Runs smoother, and a tad quieter, but boost and EGTs are still higher then used to be and now the MPG is way down from what it was B4 the sticks were put in. Getting loaded now and just can't wait to see what it does with a load on it. Anyone have suggestions as what I might look into next?
Blew the tensioner pulley up so haven't towed far with it, but having same issues as B4. High boost/EGTs, no smoke with Edge on level 1, engine temps fine, also the load % is high as B4. Swapped out fuel filter tonight, see what that does, but not holding my breath. I'm at a loss on what to check next here.

Have pulled a couple loads with it now and EGTs are still up there higher then normal, boost is up still and fuel economy is crap
No or very little smoke when accelerating, where it used to give a decent "puff" before. Has fresh fuel filter in it now and no difference. Also seems the whine from turbo is more pronounced at part throttle then B4. I'm at a loss here, not to mention costing me more $$$ in fuel every load. Bites not having my normal pulling truck,,,,help anyone? I'll keep searching for possible answers in threads here.

I don't have a RP guage on it. I did hook the OBDIII up and was showing around 6700 at idle, 15-16000 cruise and barely got it to 21000 WOT once. I'm going to try it again today after loading more to see if it'll vary any(couldn't other day, DOT was sitting out front of shop) Another note, at cruise the EGTs seem to settle, but I just barely "roll" in the throttle and Im looking at 1150-1250 right now. Maybe I'm thinking backwards, but increased boost is from fuel, yet it seems to act lean. Doesn't matter where I have the Edge set at. I'm not sure what dealer looked at initially, just know they hooked star Scan up n gave me the figures on inj. flow %, nothing marked on ticket as to RP reading. I'm sure if had been low they would of mentioned it, maybe not.
OBD showerd RP right where it needs to be at idle and WOT. Last few days I've noticed a "knock" from 1700-2k rpm, doesnt matter if loaded or empty, after running hard. Idle few mins and it won't do it until ran abit. Haven't had a chance 2 check for air leaks with charge air system yet. Hope 2 do that this weekend.
