Question fuel pump relay code po628

My 04 dodge diesel died at intersection. Affter trying to start it several time it started. Like it wasn't getting fuel. I made it home and checked the codes. I got po628 which is says: Fuel pump relay control circuit low voltage. Any one know how I solve this problem.

Your lift pump is dying (dead...). If you're less than 115,000 kms (Canada) or 7 years, it'll be covered under warranty, although there is a $100 deductible to pay (dealer charged me that). They'll put the replacement in the tank. I don't know how long it'll last.

My 2003 model lift pump died, and left me stranded in the mountains of B.C., at about 100,000 kms. Out of cell phone range, a passerby picked me up, took me to the nearest town where I could use the phone, and I had them tow it to a dodge dealer. It was about a 4 hour job to fix, I think. I dropped it off at night, they had it ready by lunch time the next day.

Sounds like your lift pump packed it in. And the warranty is actually 7yr/160 as it is under the Cummins engine warranty. Another note is that there is no $100 deductable for anything covered by the 7yr/160k engine warranty, only powertrain items are $100 deductable.
