Fuel pressure erratic at idle (night before 2000 mile trip)

I have an 03 SO Auto and while idling in Park or Drive the fuel pressure on my Commander is all over the place - b/w 1-8 psi. While accelerating it smooths out and acts normal. I don't have any fuel enhancements done to my truck yet.
I'm leaving from St. Louis to go to Gypsum, CO tomorrow morning and just want to be sure that it isn't the lift pump going out.
Thanks in advance for any help.

BTW, I changed the fuel filter w/in the last 2000 miles.

I remember reading about Quad having some issues with the sending units so I would imagine that is the problem especially with the cooler temps. If it seems alright under power it should be fine. I would be worried if the numbers were all over when under load. Good luck.

That's kind of what I was thinking/hoping for. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Thanks.

my second quad sending unit went out. there are several threads about bad sending units. The first unit worked for about two months and the second worked about the same. I am waiting to see if someone post that Quad has fixed the problem before I call again.

I second the fuel sending unit, my last one lasted 8 months then acted up.

They where quick to send out a new one, so far no problems but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
