Question Fuel in Oil

Other than an oil analysis or change in oil level is there a way to tell if fuel is leaking into the oil ?

1.You can smell the oil to determine if it smells like diesel
2. Drop a drop of oil on a white paper towel and see if the diesel bleeds out and makes a "diesel fuel ring" around the oil droplet.

A drop in oil pressure will take place as fuel thins the oil.

The OEM guage will not give you this drop. I have seen this happen to a Cummins at work with a real oil pressure guage. I caught the problem before any real damage was done to the engine. The CP3 was leaking fuel into the crankcase.

I have just ordered a oil pressure guage and will install soon.

Don't all dogs smell #2?

I had a dog with such a bad nose he would drop a duece on the lawn and turn around and not be able to find it. Don't know why they want to smell it all the time anyway.
