fuel in oil
fuel in oil
All right fellas. Im getting fuel in my oil. I know that there are a couple of ways this can happen, so point me in the right direction. I pulled injectors and put factory nozzles back on thinking maybe one of them was sticking. Problem still exists. Truck runs fine other than higher than normal oil pressure due to the viscosity of the oil now. In the beginning i noticed runny oil in the intake system, which led me to beleive bad turbo, other than the thin oil. Well guess its so thin its getting by the turbo seal. So proceeded from there by pulling injectors and looking for the obvious faulty injector. Didnt see any visible cracks, orings looked good, tightened feeder tubes to 42ft/lb, along with everything else to manual specs. Preseated injector, then loosened bolts, inserted feeder tubes properly. Dont think its an install error. Would it be logical to ohm out the injectors for electrical fault? Or would hard code set if electrical malfunction? Where do these injectors crack at? Or what are the odds that my rings are bad at 34,000 miles? Does anyone know where to get a injector dummy compression tester? Really need suggestions to solve problem. Thank you

I usually pull valve cover off and start the engine. If you have leaking injector it will spray fuel out around the injector. It will be very fine mist of fuel, remember to keep your hands away from any possible high pressure fuel leaks. On tough to spot leaks I use diesel fuel dye and a black light. Small leaks show up quite well with this method.
No spray.
Allright, i tried removing valve cover and running engine. I saw no sign of diesel coming out. I even turned the idle up with the bullydog pto and turned the mp8 up to drive pressure. Still no sign. I ohm'd the injectors out and checked voltage while they were running, all were the same. Im baffled!!! Before the oil level was getting lower, now its just above crosshatches since i pulled injectors and installed stock nozzles and changed oil.
