Fuel line leak
Fuel line leak
Noticed a small puddle of diesel when I got back to my truck after work. Took a look under it and one of the lines from tank to filter leaking. Whats the best option for repairing it replace the entire line or repair section where the leak is. The leak appears to be in the line where it comes up by the motor and covered w/ rubber hose
thanks

Have you changed you fuel filter recently? If so chances are the fuel is leaking from the c, possible the cap is not on as tight as it needs to be or the oring isn't sitting right. Fuel leaks under the cap at the back of the canister and spills on those black fittings.
Tighten the cap down, clean off your lines. If you're still seeing fuel at those fittings, now they're pinpointed.
I've had this come up before, that's been my problem. But I've suspected those fittings until my mech tightened the cap
So, I'm advising, eliminate a not tight enough cap before moving on to replacing parts.

The same thing happened to me. Any idea what could make the cap come loose after 2700 miles? I removed the cap with filter, it was very hard to pull it out. the times before it was easy. I cleaned everything and checked the O ring, it seemed O.K. Reinstalled it and no more leak. Again just seemed that the cap was very loose after 2700 miles. ????
