fuel filter cap

Okay guys been having some real issues with my fuel filter cap, or should I say caps, lately. I have bought 3 of those plastic ones from NAPA in the last month. They all leak in some form or another usually from the cap seal where the o-ring is supposed to seal. I have a temporary fix now with plumpers teflon paste on the cap threads but that won't hold forever. I guess it could be because I am running 25-30 psi fuel pressure. Looked at the cap from Geno's and saw that it has a port on top. I don't want to use that port because it is pre filter and already have a POST filter gauge setup. So, my question is: Is there a way to plug that off on the cap from Geno's???

You should try getting another fuel filter-comes with a new o ring for the cap.

I would think you could plug it up with fittings. I had ordered that one to be used with my FP gauge and after I hung up the phone I realized that I would have to undo all my plumbing to change the filter so I called back and cancelled. I'd try a new filter/oring and see if that keeps it from leaking.
