Fuel filter?(pic)

I have an '06 with about 22,000 miles on it and was wondering if it's nomal to have your fuel filters look this nasty.

That one had about 10,000 miles on it, the prior one I took out looked the same.
Normal or should I change them out more often?

Yes that is normal. One guy on here said it was due to the asphaltine (?spelling) in the fuel. It makes since. Another guy on here that has a Fleetguard 2 micron before his said his comes out somewhat white/pink looking when he changes his out. 2 micron is doing it's job.

Looks normal to me. I change mine every 10k.

And in addition, I also have a 2 micron filter before it goes to the CP3.
