Fuel Filter changed

I changed my fuel filter today. I drained the canister out using the yellow leverfrom the water seperator. Now what should I do with the fuel? Can I dump it in the tank? Or just dispose of properly

I haven't replaced mine yet (on the "to do" list), however, I don't think you want to put it back in the tank. The fuel that comes out of the tube will likely have water in it. That is the fuel/water seperator. You will want to dispose of it.

If you don't see water in it add it to the tank. Leave the last inch or so and dispose of it. It will have any sediment or "junk" in it.

To dispose of diesel you can add it to your waste oil (oil change oil) or put it in a metal coffee can and burn it. Place the can on concrete 20 feet away from anything. Take a metal rod and place it over the opening. Take a rag and drape it over the rod and let it go into the fuel. Light the rag. Don't go near it until it is out.

HMMM... On concrete and 20 feet away from anything. So what you are saying is that it would be a bad idea if I lit it on fire in my living room next to my dead xmas tree???
