"This filter is referenced for use in heavy duty Dodge pick-ups with the Cummins 24v diesel engine. Could you please tell me the filtration level for this filter in microns? Thanks for your time.
Reply:
PF7654 has a 3 nominal and 9 absolute micron rating.
Thanks for the inquiry."
To me, that doesn't scream 3 micron filtration, but it does appear to be the better filter.
You guys just slay me
All i triing to do is let you guys know that you can the same Cummings filter from Autozone at a reasonable price without having to get ripped off by the dealer or making a special trip to Cummings or order one from someplace else and have to wit on it.
You know when that emergency comes up that you aren't at home and the water in fuel light comes on because the fuel you just put in is crap. And low and behold yo look up and there is an AutoZone
to the rescue
OK I'm done.

On the comment of filter micron ratings, the FS19579 is a 10 micron filter according to the info that Fleetguard provides. I assume (careful, I know) that they mean 10 micron absolute, but I wonder what the nominal rating is?
I know if you look at the Chrysler fuel filter part number, it is stated to be a 2 micron filter. I can't find the part number off hand, but I wonder what it cross references to from Fleetguard? Again I assume that the Chrysler part is 2 micron nominal, not absolute. Need to find that part number and cross reference with Fleetguard to see what part number they show.
I totally agree that being able to get a part from Autozone rules in a pinch.
