Fuel Filter

Is there a inline filter by the tank & can you change it or should it even be changed?

Not that I know of, fuel filter is on the engine, only stock fuel filter.
But you should plug the open elbows on top of your tank, as dirt crud and water can enter your tank here. This crud takes out the lift pumps. Theres a tsb on the 06s to fix this , but problem has existed for years.Dodge fix is a short 1/4 in. line on the elbow, but you need about 18 inch line with cheap intine fuel filter on end of line to keep crud from going up the line.
