Fuel Additives..are they worth it??
I do use additives in my fuel though, and I do notice a difference. I run Power Service's diesel fuel supplement in -nearly- every tank. I've noticed it does improve mileage, power, and throttle response. It also has an anti-gel additive. Do I think its really necessary though, no. Just my .02
-Dave
Yep - if something works for you - then that's what matters, eh? And, there's also something to be said for the peace of mind entailed in ensuring your truck has the kind of maintenance that should minimize future problems. It's hard to put a price tag on something like that.

Best to y'all
Bill
Re:Fuel Additives..are they worth it??
Mexstan, let me know how the local contact answers work out; I was unable to link to the site provided in the email text. I know that the higher sulphur content did provide lubricity for fuel pumps and injectors, and when they reduced it here in the U.S. the major oil companies had to come up with additive packages to compensate for the lubricity loss, however, the up side of all that was reduced soot, ash, and acid contamination of the oil, making the oil changes less frequent. From the sounds of their email, they are only advocating a more frequent oil change interval to compensate for the higher sulphur level, depending on what you find out from your local fuel providers. Keep us posted.
