Ok, long story short. If you endure the load of reading that entire 108 page post, follow the added in links, data analysis and what not. The bottom line comes down to the simple fact.
1. TCW-3 rated 2 stroke oil is used to add lubricity back to ULSD to help prolong the life of our VP-44's and CP-3's.

2. An added bonus is, the engine will run like a well oiled sewing machine and quiet down significantly, like within the first 2 minutes after you start it up.

3. There are some, not everyone, but some that do get a bump in MPG's, which is a nice side effect of adding 2 stroke.

4. It burns away clean

This is based on using a dose of about 128:1 or 1oz. to 1 gal. of diesel. If you overdose, you might lose a little responsiveness, but won't kill anything, just add more diesel. You do need to measure what you are puting in at fillup, because you have some fuel left that has the mix, so follow your ratio from fillup to fill up and you should have no negative effects.

I've had very good luck when using Lucas and always see and increase in fuel mileage. I have talked to several people that have older non-CR engines that have had good luck from burning 2-cycle oil. When I've tried 2-cycle oil in my 06, I lost fuel mileage when I used in the wintertime. The last time I tried Wally World 2-cycle oil back in July, I put 16oz in my tank and I had injector knock on start up the next day and this was after driving a 175-miles pulling a camp trailer.
