do yourself a favor and buy a new shaft..I just went through a lot of unnecessary grief with mine. I was getting a whirring noise from mine which turned into a vibration after I installed a leveling kit [only 2.5 inches] .
I removed it and took it to a driveshaft shop to balance and replace the universals I was told it was fine and was rebuildable.
175.00 later I reinstalled it and it vibrated so bad I had to remove it ! I took it back and after hearing how "good he is " and " never had a problem before " he rebalanced it and it was better, but I could still feel it at about 65.
I ordered one from Factory OEM Parts installed it and it is perfect.
Save yourself the grief..buy new and be happy the first time.

I agree by the time you price out parts and labor you can buy a factory new. I stopped rebuilding them for that reason. Make sure you use blue Loctite on the bolts.
