Front & Rear Axle? Additive?

I've got a 2005 CD with the antispin option and am approaching my 15,000 mile service. Am debating between going with the Royal Purple or the Redline but wanted to know if I need the additive? My owners manual says, "Limited Slip AAM Rear Axles DO NOT REQUIRE a limited slip additive." But I've been reading some of the previous posts where some guys are saying that you do. I'd like to hear some feedback.

Follow your owner's manual. GL-5 Synthetic fluid and your good to go.

I agree with them also. No additive is needed. Most likely you may have heard information from someone with a Dana Axle (2nd gen) who believes you should be adding the additive into the oil because they do.

When I had mine changed, I noticed a slight "skip" when starting off on a corner. I added it, and it eliminated the skip.(Does not hurt to add it.)
