Lightbulb Front Prop Shaft

Guys, I have been all over and under both ends of the front drive shaft and I can't find any grease fitting, Zerk or flush! Could the front joints have been replaced with a sealed unit(s)? Exactly where is this fitting supposed to be located? I can't hear worth a fiddler's butt, but I do know what a grease fitting looks like.............even without glasses!

End Cap?
Cross shaft?
Drive shaft coupler?
Flux Capacitor?

Crawl under the truck, just forward of the transfer case, look up at the cardan joint on the front drive shaft. Get a flash light and some paper towels w/409 or some other type of cleaner, and wipe off all the grime and grease. Once cleaned of grease and grime, looks like a kind of dimple. If you don't find it on one side, it's 180 degrees on the other side, and you'll have to move the truck, or jack up the front and rotate the drivers side tire until the joint rotates to the other side. Then use a needle type fitting on your grease gun to lube it. It's there, just hard to find the first time, but once you know where, it's easy the next time. I give mine a few squirts every other oil change. Can't take credit for the pics, they came from other members, and found them using the search option.

Well, that answers the question "Why I didn't find it"? I was looking at the U-joint cross shaft, not the Cardan. All the needle grease fittings I have ever seen had a ball bearing check in the center and were on a flat surface. This looks like its just small hole that has been drilled and countersunk to accept the needle point. Great design

Thanks for getting me pointed at the right part.

There is a cross member piece that kind of does get in the way. For that area of lube work, I use a small pistol type of grease gun with a flex hose and stick a small pen light in my mouth to see what I'm doing. Stick the needle in and pump away! Doesn't take much, couple of pumps or so. Be careful with that needle fitting, it does break or bend easily.
