Front end Vibration?

Ok just started to notice yesterday that my frontend is vibrating at around 65mph. It seems to be comming through the steering wheel and feels like the left front. The truck has 62k on it mostly high way and no off roading. But I do take it to the track and make boosted lacuhes at around 10psi every now and again but not since last summer. I had the front axle u joints replaced at 39k. I jacked up the left front and put a large prybar under the tire and it did seem to go up a bit and when done somewaht fast there was a little clank seemed to be from the upper ball joint. The right side had a bit more travel about 3/16" and also clanked a when lift on fast. I assume that it is the Ball joints gone bad but before I Change them I wanted to make sure there the real problem. The tire didnt have any side to side play in it just a bit up and down. I don't think its the front axle u joints because it not doing what id did when they went the first time around, kinda felt like being in 4wd when your not in sharp slow truns in a parking lot. Could it be any thing esle? I guess is what I'm trying to ask. And how do I check. Thanks for any help.

sounds like you already checked ball joints. by prying up under the tire you are checking lowers. dodge has a lot of tolerance in ball joint play, 3/16in isn't that bad. to check uppers grab tire at 12 and 6 o'clock and push/pull to check for side to side play.

I would also suspect front drive shaft could cause your vibration, greased that double cardon joint lately??
