Front Axle not engaing

Looking for information on how the front axle engages on my 06. My transfer case engages (manual lever) but it doesn't engage the front wheels. Was looking for some sort of vacuum motor device on the axle like my 01 had. Automatic transmission.

Does it work the same as the 2nd gens? If a dash venting hose loses vacuum, it will affect cruise control and front axle engagement.

I just cut off and capped the vacuum line that ran into the dash, and then all was good again for the important stuff.

There is NO vacuum motor or any other disconnect for the front axle outside of the T-case. When in 2wd, the t-case simply doesn't drive the front driveshaft.

That's what I was afraid of. So the issue must be in the T case. I can hear the case winding up in low but it must not be applying power to the front driveshaft. Thanks for the info.
