Suspension front axle moving front to back feel it in steering
Have a 1997 4wd 3500 and I think the bushings in the link arms? (the 4 links that attach to the axle to the frame of the truck) are getting worn out. Where can I get replacements? would like to go with poly if they make them???
when i stop had i can hear a faint click and feel it in the steering wheel.
am I off target with this diagnosis

your probably not off target with that mine were getting worn out at 85k. i replaced them along with new control arms from top gun customz the control arms with poly bushings were almost the same price as the bushings from the dealer. you will most likley want to purchase all 8 bolts and ecentric washers that hold the arms in as they seize in the sleeve in the bushing and you will end up cutting them. make sure to never seize when you install. good luck

Mine was doing the same thing, and one day I heard a metallic clunk. Turns out the actual control arm had snapped. This damage was done after about a day or two of driving on it. Oh yeah, bet on your bolt snapping like mine. Go get some new ones from the dealer before you try to repair it.

where is the best place to buy replacement poly bushings. seems the 97 only comes in a full kit about 300.00 where other years you can get just the link bushings for about 50
