FP Install Question

I have a 05 and would like to install a FP gauge.
Where would be the easiest place to mount the sender on the engine?
I was thinking about using the replacement cap that Genos sells.
Would that work ok?
Thanks.

the sender should not be "hard mounted"" due to the diesel engine vibration. i ran a stainless steel braided hose off of the cp3 and installed my fp sender on the other end. i am assuming you are going with an electrical gauge-it will be a good idea to use a pressure snubber too!

i went with autometer. like i said in my previous post- a pressure snubber is highly recommended due to the fuel spikes, etc associated with diesel engines and you need to "remote" mount the sender, preferably on fuel hose and mount away from the engine-mount it to the fender, etc. so it is also away from the vibration. the hose will help absorb some of the vibration too. i made a bracket for my sender and mounted it up front near the radiator support.

Where in the CP3 did you ran the hose to?

the easiest way i can explain it is this- follow your fuel line that is mounted on the bottom of your fuel filter housing. the other end, attaches at the cp3. that is where i attached a two foot braided s.s. hose. on the other end of that hose, i attached my fuel pressure sender, along with a pressure snubber. i routed the hose away from the engine and made a bracket to hold and mount the sender.
