to flush or not
i have been wating to service trans on o4 thinking a bout swtiching to amsoil but have been told that b-g flushing machine might cause more problems loosing up varnesh and outher contaments. may be best to stay with mopar traney fluid?also have govoner pres solonid to re place 1-2 shifting problem i hav orderd one from perf-automovie trans . wat yal think a bout flushing or just change fluid and filter.
I'm doing mine in two days. Transgo kit and cleaning the original solenoid.
I would not flush the trans. You see all that gunk in your pan? I don't want that flushed back in the trans, I want to drain it out.

There is a big difference between flush and exchange. An exchange is nothing more than pumping your old fluid out and new in - using the trans. pump. Do a search on how to do your own exchange. I did it and will do it again. There is "zero" chance of causing problems unless you let the tranny run dry or forget to hook the return line back up.

I didn't go into the details, but yes I change my filter when doing it myself. It's cheap insurance. If I was going to a shop, I would ask them to make sure they are doing that.
do it my self
if i disconect retrurn line lit run in nuteral til fluid stream changes . when it dose is that the time to remove pan and replace solenoid and filter re install pan ad fluid run in neturel til fluid runs bright red hook up return line top of traney.?

Don't do that, if you run everything dry, not good. Depending on the mileage, fluid exchange= "YES", Flush = "NO".
The transmission and components should take 14 quarts. A dry transmission and it's components will hold 18 quarts. Pick up one or two extra just in case. Valvoline ATF+4 is a licensed brand and works for me.
