Fleetguard Stratopore or standard

Time to order some oil filters, what’s the difference between these two? I'm ordering from Genos but it does not say on their site.
Thanks

Stratopore IS VERY MUCH BETTER THAN STANDARD

It is NOT a paper filter and it uses layering for the diferent size particles so the oil flows easier and filters much better

I work for a new holland, and cummins dealer, and the stratopore is WAY better. Fleetguard makes the newholland's filters for them, and they are all startorpore. We have a baldwin, fram, wix, and a New holland (fleetgard) filter cut apart and the fleetguard has so much better paper, and filtering system than all the rest.

I changed out my fuel filter this weekend with Geno's "Premium" $14.95 filter part #FS19800E and found something interesting.

The factory original I pulled out said "stratapore" stamped in the rubber end of it and seemed thick and well made.

Now supposedly the Geno's one is the 7 micron according to their site but the filter itself seemed less quality. It had no writing on it or anything. Very generic. Hard to explain but as an example the factory filter end snapped into the cap clips tight with no gap when seated because the rubber end was thick. The Geno's filter snapped in but because the plastic (or rubber) end was thinner there was freeplay between the clips and filter edge when in the lid. Everything I have gotten from Geno's has been great so far.

Is it just me or should I be looking elsewhere for filters. Anyone seen the same thing with the Geno filter?

There have been several threads on this. Cummins Filtration (Fleetguard) changed the filter design and manufacturing process.

Neighbor was at a auto parts store that sold Baldwin/Donaldson filters.Sales rep(Baldwin)just HAPPEN to be there and mention such to him with the NEW part number.Store said they were coming on next order and he picked up four last week. Two for me two for him.I was doudtful and called Baldwin before he brought filters to me.Was assured that it was correct info and I still didn't trust it and had them FAX me the specs. PF7977 5 micron to two or one absolute I think if I read it correct.I'm glad I only bought ONE 7 as I have TWO 10s in the tool box still.Next will be TWO's LOL. OH as a after thought same Baldwin REP told neighbor there were NEW specs on the OIL FILTERS and the micron/effenctly level on them had been lowered also. Now I don't know if he's refering to Baldwin filters only but something mentioned that Cummins had wanted or speced /recommended BETTER filtration on the oil systems also.
