First oil sample out . . .
I think I'll extend my intervals to 7,500 for a couple of cycles and then test it again. I'm not brave enough to go 10,000 quite yet. In my paranoid mind, it could be that it's doing well because I have always changed the oil at 5,000 miles.

I would go 9000 mi on that oil report without a second thought. If you want you can change the oil filter a 4500 mi then just top off the oil. I would bet at 9k they would say go to 12k. Your engine is holding up well.

Being your first diesel....nothing wrong with working your way up to 10,000 mile changes.
You will get there with the Premium Blue.... based on what I've read in other postings.
Enjoy the process!
I would reduce the 2 qts to 1 qt 2-cycle. Even better if you can get some Biodiesel (B20) and run 5 gal in each tank (1 gal of pure Bio). Was rated best of the lubricity agents tested. I do this and it nets me 3% biodiesel..... good lubricity without hurting mileage.
