How HOT???
Over 200F???
Fan wouldn't come on until coolant temp is over 200s. I can't recall the exact number.
Try to turn on the AC or defogger to see if the fan come on.

With the stock gage it gets about half way between the center hash mark 200 and the third line. Think I need to get a real mechanical gage for it. Just weird because I haul my 10k dump trailer over the same inclines all summer temp never goes over the 200 mark. New water pump 15k ago I even changed the thermostat to a new stant when I put the new clutch in.

Well I wonder if the snow blade is blocking air flow and you have some wiring issue with the plow setup that is causing the fan clutch to not engage?!

I was thinking the same thing I had problems with the headlights when they put the plow on last year. Had to desensitize the ecm if I went from high beam to low and back to high the lights would kick off like there was an overload on the system I had to turn the lights off at the switch and back on then they would come back on. The flash was done by Chrysler

Put an Ultragauge on your truck. You'll be able to read the exact coolant temp and a whole bunch of other parameters. Change out your thermostat. You shouldn't get that hot. Put in a cummins stat. 220 is too warm.
