Reminds me of when I had to idle the truck for two and 1/2 + hours with the AC on full blast while stranded in the desert on I-10 near Blith, CA (120 degree temps
) 2 years ago while waiting for the road side/tire repair service to come and replace two tires that blew out on my trailer because the wife drove over a LARGE piece of tire tread. I can honestly say the AC was working as hard as it could to keep the family cool inside while I waited outside. (because I was soo hot over her running over that tire tread
) When the guy showed up he gave me one of those 1/2 gallon jugs of ice cold water and said "man you really look like you need this more than me, I'll have you on your way here in about 35 minutes." Nicest guy you could have ever met, thanked him for all he had done and slid him $50.00 for being able to come out and take care of us.

so from all these reply's I understand long periods of low idle MAY hurt the injectors. If it does hurt them in a couple years just get some 90hp injectors to replace them.

I was under the impression that extended idling allows carbon/partly burned fuel to build up on the exhaust valves, and the risk was bent pushrods the next time you start up?
