exhaust manifold studs

Got a good deal on an ATS Pulse Manifold - did some reading on the install, and I'd like to use studs instead of bolts - sounds easier for the gasket packs and setting the manifold in. Anyone know what size studs I need for this? Diameter and pitch are easy, but I'm not sure about length - better to have the nuts sit against the manifold, or use spacers like OEM for easier access? If anyone has done this or seen a setup like it, I'd appreciate some input - as always, thanks!

I have studs in mine. Got them from a local diesel shop. They are about 2 inches in length. The nuts sit right against the manifold.
