The plug is located on ECM on the drivers side of the engine under the intake. I found it to be a lot easier to remove the fender liner on the driver's side to reach the plug.

You have to remove the Wire Harness plug from the ECM to remove the rubber filler insert in the hole that the wire goes through. If memory serves me, I used a straightened paper clip to push the inserts out of the spots that the Exhaust brake wires go into.

Hope that helps.....

Once you locate the plugs/connectors, the rest will be downhill. They are on the drivers side about 2/3 way down the block from the top, kind of toward the rear half of the engine. You will see wires going down to them.

I did mine over the top of the fender, an easy reach down to them.

I did not take anything apart. I used a small pair of forcepts to pull the plug out of the backside of the connector, you can hold it in place to grab it with a small flat blade screwdriver. Then, making sure I was going straight into the backsie of the plug with the pin, I han pushed the pin into place. After I felt it lock I gave it a little tug to make sure it was in a locked, did the second wire the same way.

It took all of maybe 5 minutes to put both wires in.

CD in NM,
Wow - I should have checked with you first. I ended up with the same result, (the ebrake works), but I took the connector out of the ECM to remove the rubber plug. It was not easy....
