Either get an OBD II programmer/scanner from autozone, checker, etc. (they can erase codes) or try disconnecting the negative terninals (yes both of them) from the batteries for a minute or more. It may fire up a bit rough and take a sec to re-gain some settings, but I believe this will erase the codes.

You may need to re-calibrate the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) after doing this. There is a procedure to do this - no tools required - it's posted on this board somewhere, I just don't remember it off hand. It had something to do with turning the key to the on position (no start) and slowly pressing the throttle all the way to the floor and then slowly all the way back - DON'T QUOTE ME, find out fo sure.

Another thought, checker and auto zone around here will hook up an OBD II scanner for free, you might see if one of the local guys would erase the codes.

Good luck

Removing the neg cables will not erase the codes. You need a scanner.

Your codes wiill erase after about 40 run cycles (cold-heat-cool) assuming the problem that created the code no longer exists. I tried disconnecting cables overnight with no luck.

go schmooze any mechanic that works in a reputable garage....they usually remove codes for free...i have had a 100% batting average so far....
worst case scenario..might cost you a 6-pack...

Codes will not erase afte 40 cycles. They may go inactive, but they are stored until they are cleard. Disconnectiing batteries also will not work.
