Engine Reving when Brake is Applied
I am having the exact high idle in gear which started yesterday. Do I just need to have the converter replaced or is there anything else needed. My 06 just turned 100K yesterday and is all stock. Should I get an aftermarket or just a stock replacement? I plan on swapping the converter myself.
I disconnected the batteries for a day in hoping it was a ecm problem but still locked. It seems the only option is to replace the torque converter. Any suggestions on a good quality part that wont break the bank?
03 5.9 same issue seems like?
So I had been having issue right rpm’s sticking and coming back down on my meter. So I thought it was injectors truck has 215,000 with factory injectors it made perfect sense. So I put NEW 75hp injectors in and new tubes and seems to idle better and more power of course. I have a edge Cts which I’ve had and now since injectors I can run level 1 and 2 it does fine but level 3 and 4 if I throttle up once it hits maybe 2,000rpm it sticks and doesn’t stop. Any ideas guys? Have enough money wrapped in right here at Christmas
Same thing is happening
I does not rev in N or P. When I come to a stop light as I am slowing down, I have to shift it to N to keep it from revving. At a stop with the brake on in N - the truck idles normally. Thanks for the input. I am hoping it is something as simple as a fuse, short or blocked gov pressure sensor or lock up sensor. I go into a trany shop tomorrow for a diognostic.
Do y'all ever figure out what was wrong ? My 05 is doing the exact same thing and I'm tired of guessing what the problem is.
Thank you!
