Re:Engine Hours/Mileage

Wish I hadn't looked! Exactly 500 hours and only 13,407 miles which works out to 26.8 :'( Guess I gotta stop all that field work!

Re:Engine Hours/Mileage

Hey Mopar,

I thought the same thing. When I checked it the first time I had 3100 miles and only 29 hrs. It seemed strange to me. I will check it when I leave today to see what's up.

Re:Engine Hours/Mileage

I guess I am not doing something right. > I push the odo reset button in and hold and turn on the key. All the dash lights light up and the tach and Speed odo click over to the right and back to the left. The odo displays [no code] and the 29 00 for a few seconds and then back to 00 00.

Any idea on what I am doing wrong?

Re:Engine Hours/Mileage

Don't hold the reset button down until AFTER you've turned the key. Gotta love all these crazy ways of finding out information from the trucks

Re:Engine Hours/Mileage

I have a 1993 Dodge Diesel with 235,123 miles and 5674.5 hours. That figures 41.43 and I let the engine idle often.

I put the meter on shortly after I purchased the truck and ran the meter until I got the amount of hours needed vs the miles on the truck. I used 40 mph for the hours added to meter.
