Engine break

Dealer tell me they can't put one on my 2004. Is this true, nothing I can do with out costing me an arm n leg? What do you all think?

I thought you broke your motor also. Your dealer will not put one on your automatic truck because Jacobs has only authorized/designed their exhaust brake for the 2006 autos and above. You can put on a pac brake though, many threads in here about them, and installation.

My motor is fine. I will look into the posts about pac brake. thanks

The reason you were misunderstood is because you said "engine break", instead of "exhaust brake".

call pacbrake and talk to jim. they(he) is great to deal with. they have a module that goes with their units to lock up the converter on your automatic when the brake is applied.

Carson Dodge will put one on 04s. Check their web page www.carsondodge.com and look through their forum. I think they have a sticky about it.
