Happens with me and my wife all the time. I can look 15 times in the same spot for something and finally she'll get frustrated and come pull it right from under my nose. :

 

Like when you tear the house apart to find your car keys that are in your pocket? ;D

 

Or look all over for your glasses when they're on your head??

Find it yet, Ed? If the 03's are similar to the 02's, the plug is on the passenger side and should be mounted to the intercooler manifold with a clip. The prongs of the plug have a black plastic cover over them, so they're not easily recognizable. BTW, the heater comsumes 750 watts, so think about it before you plug it in 8 hours a night, 7 days a week. Down to about zero, 3 hours works fine.
