ECM upgrade 2004.5

just purchased PacBrake for 04.5 48re and was concerned about needing a transmission controller for this to work properly. Have been told by two highly advertised aftermarket transmission builders that don't need a controller but a reflash instead by the dealer to make the PacBrake compatiable with the tq lock-up. Supposedly they can reflash the ecm of the 04.5 and the 05's to do the same as the 06's with the auto. Any one with more knowledge than me would be appreciated because plan on doing some pretty heaving rv'ing...thanks

The latest I have looked at is you can choose od/off instead of t/haul.

Don't think it is possible. The 04.5 still has the cable runnning to the valve body. Brain fart on the name of it. The 05-06 have drive by wire and the valve body is different. I wish it was possible. I would have one.
