Mine was just in. I have the original bolt thru design and they are changing it but it's on back order.

Interesting. Did they say why they were going to replace it?
Do you have an extended warranty?

No extended warranty. I didn't ask. I brought it in for inspection renewal and to do the recall. They had the truck hooked up to a computer for an hour and a half. I think they did a reflash. I have the original bolt thru design never updated and it's greased regularly and in good shape. I'm on a waiting list for the updated part. I have. The paper work to prove it this isn't bs.

 

What's the deal about NOT getting the ECM reflash? I had mine flashed around the 1st of the year. I know of no other way to clear a tune from the ECM when you don't have a tuner nor know what was in it. Mine seems fine, other than not as much fun to drive.....and lost mpg.

 

I googled latest ECM flash 05 dodge diesel it comes up with a flash to update injector codes
