will any ecm from an 03 on up work on an 04.5 or do you need one from that year model the truck is an 04.5 std. found one from an 03

 

Sorry buddy, been there tried that. It has to have the exact same part number as yours. Its even specific between an auto and manual. Bob Wagner explained the differences to me but I forget. When I nuked my ECM with a Diablo I was trying hard to use someone local to save time.
