Run Away! I wouldn't put those on my truck if they were fre. Well, maybe if they were free.....

Drilling doe not improve braking or brake cooling. It decreases contact area, and creates stress risers that will propogate cracks.

Slotting is nice if you really use the brakes - hard and often. Like on a road course. The slots act like cheese graters, and remove a small amount of material with each pass. Nice when your abusing the brakesand glazing the pads. The rest of the time it just creates more dust and decreases the life of your pads.

Ceramic pads are nice because they're quieter than other materials. They still squeal, but at such a high frequency most humans can't hear it. They also tend to produce less dust. As a general rule, they do not perform any better than a carbon metallic pad. Also, most ceramic pads are not recommended for towing.

Of course, you'll get 4-5 people who post that their trucks all defy the laws of physics and mechanical engineering. They added these parts and improved braking performance by 42.675%.

I bought the hype and added drilled and slotted rotors to my '98.5. Suddenly I was driving through intersections unable to stop. My "upgraded" rotors had a 9% decrease in their clamping area. I'll probably stay with stock or maybe consider some of the EBC pads when mine go.
