For the manuals there is a mod (jumper) that needs to be installed first on the tranny then I think they turn on the pto feature which is the same or something like that, need to do search for better details, but it can be done on manuals also.
Need to ground a pin on the ECM and then enable for manuals. Dealer wants over $250 to install a clutch switch, or spend less than $20 at Cummins for the ECM pin and do it yourself and take it in for them to enable. When they say it can't be done until the clutch switch is installed, tell them you installed it yourself, then it's only a matter of them enabling.

Deesil,

You are a crackup! I love reading your posts!

The high idle is cool and I think I turned mine on with the Bully Dog. Could be wrong, it's been a while.

I've been round and round with the dealers about the DRB tool and the "pinion factor". Man are those guys lame.

I was a diesel mechanic for International for a while and the service manager knew far less about stuff than the mechancs. He'd send us off on the worst wild goose chase looking for problems. And all at the customers expense! Sheesh. I hope you show the diesel "expert" your new high idle feature. Can you imagine that guy working on your truck? What a nightmare!

I'm glad I can be a source of your amusement

...and yes the feature is really cool, especially when you factor in that I work in my truck quite a bit (fill out and print out reports and such on my laptop) and normally I sit there and try to "high idle" my truck with my dern foot. This is infinitely easier!

Well guess I'll have to look into the clutch switch or does anybody know what pin and got instructions. Got the pto kit on the 06'. Been thinking about a bumper with pto winch for awhile.
