I have a late 04-05 4x4 diesel, nv 5600 trans. how do I know if I have a dual mass flywheel? and if I do can I switch to a standard fly wheel? will I notice a differance? I am getting a heavy weighted type of vibration at about 1500 rpms. I have almost 90000miles on the truck.

 

Dual mass fly wheel was only on the g56 trans if Im not mistaken

 

g 56 has dual mass c heck your carrier bearing

 

take a look at your harmonic balancer as well. they have been known to separate and create a heavy vibration in the drive train.
