i remember seeing a topic on sidewall problems with the 17in dually tires....i did a search but had no luck...i have one tire splitting at the sidewall.....anyone else????

One of the high mileage guys had the split tires. He got a rebate from Goodyear (60 bucks a tire I think)

what can we replace them with ?

cant find much for on/off road tires to fit the dually

 

curious on how many miles you have on your tires and are you hauling alot or just normal driving..I have 10k (most of it towing my fiver) on mine and they are wearing really good and no signs of cracks yet...you are the second person that I have heard this has happend to...and your right..we are STUCK with these tires for right now. :'(

mine only has 2000 miles

they arent cracked yet but I can see where the cords in the sidewall have pulled apart

 

ok heres the scoop!!!!!!!!!1 i went toa gooyear dealer today and all they would do is tell me it would cost me 92.00 to replace it...its a 200.00 tire and nobody else makes one...but i had to get it....i would think that this was a liability issue and they should pay more than that..face it a sidewall defect is a serious problem...but they got us by the******
