DRAINING more qts of trans fluid?? HOW

what ways are there two drain more than 7 qts of trans fluid out , before or after pulling pan , i would like to get most out if i can.

would some come out if i drained pan (i have b&m plug installed) put truck in neutral and cranked truck over without truck starting, would that circulate more to the pan.

thanks for the ideas

Do a search, there are a couple posts on this topic. When I changed my fluid, I dropped the pan and changed the filter. Added 6 qts and pulled the return line at the tranny. Ran a hose into a 5 gal bucket, started it up and put it in nuetral. Pumped about 5 qts (watched for it to start slowing down), shut it down and added the same amount I pumped out. Ended up changing about 14 qts when the fluid pumping out started looking nice and clean.

Most say just drop the pan, but I can tell you my tranny is shifting smoother and not getting as hot by changing more than 6 or 7 qts. It was super easy and did not add more than 10 minutes time vs just dropping the pan.

Back of the tranny on the drivers side.

FYI, I pumped out about 4 qts before dropping the pan. It made it much easier to keep from getting fluid everywhere.
