Drag link adjustment

Is it acceptable to adjust the drag link to center the steering wheel if it's off by a little. This has always bothered me going down the highway even though my truck tracks straight and has great tire wear. I am assuming turning the sleeve shouldn't effect anything else?

Also can the sleeve be tightened in any position? The bolts on the sleeve will have to be on the top side of the bar to center my wheel, I don't want that thing to hit the x-member or oil pan.

Thanks fellas!

So you are saying that you need to remove the Pitman arm joint, spin it in the sleeve, and then reinstall it? I always thought you could just loosen the sleeve and spin it to adjust that????

Yea what Dodgezilla said, I always thought you just turn the sleeve. Are the clamps part of the sleeve or are mine just rusted together?

I did mine yesterday. You only have to turn the sleeve. In my case, the perfect position had the bolts at the top and pointing towards the back. You cannot leave it like that because they may rub against other parts. I had to whack them with the 3lb hammer while holding the sleeve still. My wheel is nice and straight now.....
