Great source of info for the dodge ram cummins. Hey guys just got rid of my 04 powerstroke (too many problems) for this awsome 06' CTD Dodge ram 2500 QC 4x4 short box. The question I have is that my window sticker says it has the 11.5 rear axle but nowhere says what gear ratio it has is there any way to tell by axle code or something? or does the 11.5 mean it's a 4.10? read that the 11.5 came either 4.10 or 3.73 any help would greatly be appreciated. thank's

 

Should be noted on the sticker in your glove box.

Welcome to DTR!!! And, Congrats on your new truck!

If you have the 6 speed manual G56 transmission it is going to be a 3.73. They are already geared so low already they don't offer it with the 4.10s.

If you have an auto tranny it could be either.

Apparently the 06's no longer post it in the glove box.....I looked at a lot of them and the one I bought doesnt have it either......the 4.10 will be listed on the window sticker for 06's ($50 option)....if it's not it's the standard 3.73
