Diff fluids

Was just changing the fluids in my diffs, the dealer told me that it held 3 quarts in each one. Well I just drained over a gallon out of the rear and a little less thatn that out of the front. I am going back with 75w 140, anyway just wondering about how much these things hold.

did you tell them that you'll have them pay for it when your axles blow up?

Thanks for the quick answers, found it on the posts. I am using Royal Purple and this is the 1st time to change it since it has only 14,000 on the ticker.
