Dif between 2500 & 3500 '03-'04

Dif between 2500 & 3500 '03-'04
I asked this question below but it was kind of lost in a bunch of other stuff I think.
Someone said the only real difference is the overload springs. Is there anything else? I think the 3500s all come with lights atop the cab too (cosmetic I know).
What about maintenance differences? Is there anything about the 3500 which would make it more expensive to maintain?
Also, what about ride loaded and unloaded? I drove a 3500 unloaded and it didn't seem too bad. Need to drive a 2500 to compare.
The reason I'm asking is I'm finding better deals on 3500s over 2500s.

I drove the SRW 3500 before my 2500 and couldn't really tell a difference. The only reason I got the 2500 over the 3500 was that I could get a 8ft bed SWR instead of the short bed.
